Can I bring my camera?

No professional photography equipment is permitted however point and click cameras and mobile phones are fine.

Will there be a cloak room?

This will be confirmed for each state, closer to the festival.

Is there an age limit?

Soundwave 2013 is a Licensed All Ages Event, except for Sydney where there is an Age Restriction of 15+
Note the following:
Patrons under 18 should be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 18
Patrons under 15 years MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian and supervised at all times.

NEWS ALERT: Age Restriction 15+ at Soundwave 2013 – Sydney
Due to changes in venue licensing arrangements at Sydney Showground (effective immediately) Soundwave 2013 - Sydney can longer accommodate patrons who are under the age of 15. This supersedes the previous policy which permitted patrons under the age of 15 to attend the event with a responsible adult. Patrons 14 and under are able to obtain a refund by contacting Oztix on info@oztix.com.au

Patrons should contact Oztix to obtain your refund prior to the event day.

We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience to our younger patrons and if you have any trouble obtaining a refund for your ticket please email SW13@sydneyshowground.com.au where your enquiry will be addressed.

Safety and security of minors at Soundwave 2013
* Soundwave 2013 is an all ages and licensed event.
* You will not be able to purchase or consume alcohol unless you have valid photo I.D.
* We strongly recommend young people aged from 15 to 18 be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 or over).
* people aged under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
* We advise that Soundwave 2013 is not suitable for children under 12 and they will not be admitted.
* Some of the artists appearing at Soundwave 2013 may use lyrics, language or gestures whilst entertaining, that some people may find offensive. If such language or behavior concerns you, please do not attend. If you believe such language or behavior is unsuitable for minors, please do not allow them to attend.

How many tickets can I get?

Maximum amount of tickets than can be purchased at any one time is 4 at Members pre-sale and 2 at General Public.

What time does Soundwave 2013 start/finish?

Gates will open at 11AM, and close at 10PM*

*Note that some states will run past 10pm. This information will be available closer to the event in your city
You can arrive and leave Soundwave Festival whenever you like, however note that pass outs (leaving & re-entering the venue) will not be permitted and cloaking services may not be available for patrons entering the Festival later in the day.

I live in New Zealand/Overseas, can I purchase Soundwave 2013 Tickets?

You can order tickets however we do not post them to overseas addresses.

Please go through the purchase process and make an order using an Australian address, or put your international address in.
When you receive your e-mail receipt, simply reply to the e-mail saying you are living overseas. We will then contact you and organise the delivery of your tickets.

I’ve heard about a travellers badge for Soundwave fans attending 3 or more festivals? How do i get one?

You need to 'check in' at each festival you attend by going to the signing tent and letting a Soundwave Staff member know you are registering for a badge. They will take a few details - name, email, date of birth, and where you're from so that they can verify you. You will need to do this at each festival you attend and once you have checked in at your third, you will receive your Traveller's Badge.
